AGP x4 - x8 ???

Jeg vil have et nyt graffikort, har et Geforce 6200 LE lige nu som stinker, men kan jeg bare købe et grafikkort som er AGP x8 og så vil det virke ???
Og hvilket et er bedst at vælge til en 700-800 kr ??

Altså hvis dit bundkort kun har 4x Agp så kan grafikkortet også kun køre med 4x. Men ja du kan godt sætte et 8x grafikkort i.

Du siger det satens kan køre selv hvis man agp port kun understøtter 4x agp, men bliver kortet så meget dårligere af det ?

Kan ikke finde ud af hvilken port jeg har, har søgt men finder ikke noget.

Altså kortets hastighed bliver ikke udnyttet optimalt da dit bundkort ikke kan håndtere agp 8x

AGP 1x

Jeg mener ikke at 4x kort bliver produceret længere så.

AGP cards are backward and forward compatible within limits. 1.5 V-only keyed cards will not go into 3.3 V slots and vice versa, though "Universal" slots exist which accept either type of card. AGP Pro cards (rarely used) will not fit into standard slots, but standard AGP cards will work in a Pro slot. Some newer cards like nVidia's GeForce 6-series or ATI's X800-series only have keys for 1.5 V to prevent them from installing in older mainboards without 1.5 V support. The graphic cores can only handle 0.8 V for AGP8x and 1.5 V for AGP4x and will be damaged by 3.3 V slots. Some of the last modern cards with 3.3 V support were the nVIDIA GeForce FX series and the ATI Radeon 9500/9700/9800(R350) (but not 9600/9800(R360)).

However it is important to check voltage compatibility as some cards incorrectly have dual notches and some motherboards incorrectly have fully open slots. Furthermore, some poorly designed older 3.3 V cards incorrectly have the 1.5 V key. Inserting a card into a slot that does not support the correct signaling voltage may cause damage.

There are some proprietary exceptions to this rule. For example, Apple Power Macintosh computers with the Apple Display Connector have an extra connector which delivers power to the attached display. Additionally, moving cards between computers of various CPU architectures may not work due to firmware issues.

Dog vil det kort jeg forslog stadig være hurtigere end dit nuværende dog ikke køre med kortets maksimum.

Iøvrigt ville du ikke kunne bruge det kort du forslog da det kører med PCI Express.

Min computer er fra maj sidste år, tror så den er har et 4x port eller en 8x port ?

Maj sidste år, så håber jeg da at den har 8x port.

Men, AGP er ved at uddø. Hvis du køber nyt GFX nu, og vil opgradere fx CPU og bundkort om et år, så skal du have nyt grafikkort igen. Du kan næsten ikke få bundkort med AGP mere. Det kører alt sammen i PCI-Express..

Mit råd ville være at spare lidt knaster sammen, og så køb en ny cpu, mobo, ram og gfx..

Håber ikke du bliver sur Cokeline Men har lige fundet ud af den har PCI ekspres Så bliver ikke så svært at finde et grafikkort alligevel...
