About Vasco & Millboy
The musical career of Vasco (Jorge Vasconcelo) and Millboy (Juha Myllylä) started in 1995/96 when they signed a contract with Dr. Albans company Dr. Records, as producers and songwriters. Jorge became well known in the music industry with the success of Dr. Alban and his worldwide hits "Born in Africa" and "This Time I´m Free".
Vasco&Millboy´s first project together was a club track with Marcus (Wake Up), which became very popular among the Swedish DJ:s and it ended up on the Swedish dancechart for 18 weeks. (top rank: #12)
Their next project was housemusic performed in Swedish. Drömhus first album was a success and sold over 120 000 copies in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
After this the next step for the guys was to move on from Dr Records and start something on their own. They decided to start the production-team Vasco & Millboy when they also built their own studio Playhouse.
Playhousestudios is located in Västerås Sweden 1 h. from Stockholm.
At the same time they signed a publishing deal with EMI.
The first released from Vasco& Millboy Productions was the Swedish group Caramell. Vasco and Millboy also were members of the band, together with two female vocalists.
Caramell became such a success that no one of them possibly could have imagined. Their first single reached the gold status in Sweden and they got their own summer tour in 1999. They also were supporting act for The Backstreet Boys when they visited Sweden in 1999 for concerts in Gothemburg and Stockholm.
